Seva Utsav 2024: Serving warmth and nourishment: Tea and meals offered at Mathura-Vrindavan

Madhu Ki Rasoi , the community kitchen of The Satsang Foundation at Vrindavan, celebrated Sri M's 75th birthday with the distribution of 90 cups of kulhad tea to patients and their caregivers awaiting treatment in the cold outside Prem Mandir Charitable Hospital.  Later that evening, the daily meal of puris and a vegetable curry was offered with sweets to 300 recipients - sadhus, pilgrims, and daily wagers outside Mathura Railway Station. Seva Utsav 2024: The Chanda Satsang Vidyalaya honours Sri M’s 75th birthday at Lathira

The Chanda Satsang Vidyalaya Lathira (CSVL) celebrated Sri M's 75th birthday with heartfelt devotion, bringing the spirit of seva to life. A special meal was prepared for the 350-400 senior residents of the nearby Vridh Ashram. In Lathira Garh Mukteshwar, students, staff, and members of The Satsang Foundation (TSF) at Delhi came together for a vibrant ceremony. Children chanted sacred verses and  members lit a diya , offering pranams and prasad at the altar of the Master. Students shared skits about Sri M's inspiring journey, including a moving reenactment of his Walk of Hope, sparking fond memories among many volunteers. A grand bhandara feast followed, welcoming students, their families, local villagers, and the ashram residents. Madhu Ki Rasoi celebrates Shri Krishna Janmashtami at Mathura-Vrindavan

Such a person I consider to be very close to me."           - Sri M Janmashtami festivities have commenced at the Madhu Ki Rasoi , the community kitchen of The Satsang Foundation, in the twin cities of Mathura-Vrindavan serving fruits, beverages, desserts, and a nourishing meal through the day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. to devotees and the less privileged alike. 850 people partake of a special Madhu Ki Rasoi bhandara on Guru Purnima

Madhu Ki Rasoi , The Satsang Foundation's community kitchen which provides daily, nourishing meals to the hungry and less privileged in the twin cities of Mathura-Vrindavan, organized a special bhandara on the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima on 21 July 2024. The team offered bhog to the deities and prostrated before the padukas of Sri M at the kitchen's shrine, paying homage to the gurus and their infinite grace. A filling meal of puris and vegetable curry was served to 850 hungry citizens and passers-by during a day-long seva session that lasted 8 hours. Faith rehydrated, spirits nourished – Satsang Seva Mission soothes devotees on an auspicious summer day

On the holy occasion of Ganga Dussehra , 16 June 2024, the Madhu Ki Rasoi team ensured devotees visiting Mathura and Vrindavan stayed cool and nourished. Understanding the large crowds this festival draws to these sacred twin cities, the volunteers offered water and Khichdi Seva . Over 2,200 devotees received chilled water and comforting Khichdi throughout the day.  The team distributed around 2,000 litres of water to combat the summer heat. Adding a touch of sweetness, Madhu Ki Rasoi volunteers served a special rose-flavored Rooh Afza Sharbat that flowed through parched throats like a cool river coursing through a sun-baked canyon. The 8-hour-long seva began at 9 a.m. and continued until 7 p.m. ensuring access to a nourishing meal and refreshing water. 53,000 meals and more, Madhu Ki Rasoi continues to support the less privileged in Mathura-Vrindavan since Sept. 2023

Inaugurated on 3rd September 2023 in Vrindavan by Sri M, Madhu Ki Rasoi , an initiative of The Satsang Foundation under the auspices of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM), is a community kitchen which provides daily, nourishing meals to the hungry and less privileged in the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan.  Every evening the Madhu Ki Rasoi vehicle makes its way to the Mathura Railway Station where itinerant sadhus , daily wagers, pavement dwellers, and weary travellers partake of a simple yet filling meal of puris and a vegetable curry. Having started with 200 meals per day, the meal count goes up to 220 meals to ensure that no one goes hungry.  During the special bhandara or community annadaanam seva held on the joyous occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami , 7th September 2023, a total of 12000 meals were offered during 15 hours of continuous seva . 53, 000 meals have been served till the end of April. Driven by Sri M's vision, Madhu Ki Rasoi practices annadaanam seva . Since its start, the kitchen has served over 40,000 meals, a testament to its commitment to fighting hunger. More than just sustenance, each meal represents hope and a reminder that kindness exists even amidst daily struggles. Team SSM Vrindavan and Madhu Ki Rasoi usher in New Year by offering special meal to less privileged at Mathura

Team SSM Vrindavan volunteers ushered in the New Year on 1st January 2024 by offering a special meal of puris, vegetable curry, and kheer prepared at Madhu Ki Rasoi to 350 sadhus and less privileged denizens at the Mathura Railway Station. Sri M had launched Madhu Ki Rasoi or Madhu's Kitchen, The Satsang Foundation's community kitchen in September 2023 to help reach out to the hungry and dispossessed in the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan. Since its launch, over 30, 000 meals have been offered through daily, nocturnal annadaanam seva at the Mathura Railway station. Team SSM Vrindavan, Madhu Ki Rasoi offer festive bhandara on Sri Krishna Janmashtami

On the joyous occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami , 7th September 2023, Team SSM Vrindavan offered a festive bhandara , a community annadaanam seva at the Mathura-Vrindavan Road, Vrindavan. During this continuous seva of 15 hours, from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm,  ov er 12,000 people received fresh meals prepared at the recently-launched Madhu Ki Rasoi : refreshing tea and biscuits in the morning; followed by puris and sabzi throughout the day; and sweet suji halwa and bananas in the evening. Volunteers, both young and elderly alike, worked joyously under a vibrant canopy to lovingly serve the hungry and the less privileged on this sacred occasion. Sadhu feeding spreads warmth and cheer at Vrindavan

On 4th September 2023, the third day of the Srimad Bhagavatam Saptah with Sri M in Vrindavan, participants had the privilege of offering annadaanam seva to over 400 sadhus at the Kathia Baba Ashram.  Continuous singing of bhajans at the ground floor of the ashram provided the musical accompaniment for a special meal of puris, pua, channa, sabzi, and rice kheer , lovingly served to sadhus of all ages. Sri M inaugurates Madhu Ki Rasoi at Vrindavan

Sri M, founder of The Satsang Foundation, inaugurated Madhu Ki Rasoi in Vrindavan - the Land of the Lord's Lila on 3rd September 2023. Madhu Ki Rasoi , an initiative of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) Vrindavan Kendra, is a community kitchen which will provide 200 meals per day to the hungry and less privileged in the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan. The number of meals will be increased to 1000 per day in the days ahead. The inauguration began with Sri M flagging off the Madhu Ki Rasoi vehicle followed by annadaanam seva offered to sadhus amidst chanting of sacred hymns. As Sri M lit the traditional lamp, he invoked the blessings of the Gurus upon the volunteers and their endeavors. Seva Utsav 2022: Children in Mathura Juvenile Reform Home Seek Special Blessings on Sri M’s Birthday

In a touching ceremony, the 41 children living in the juvenile reform  home, Mathura,  lit diyas and placed them on a colourful 'M' made of wheat dough in a prayerful mode to seek Sri M's blessings and guidance for a brighter future on his 73rd birth anniversary.      Natural colour made from flowers in the Banke Bihari Temple adorned the M that signified his presence and wisdom for the children. Team SSM Mathura brought home-made kheer for the children and spoke to them about his teachings.

Continuous Daily Annadaanam Seva at Mathura-Vrindavan Since 11 Months

For the past 11 months, Team SSM Mathura-Vrindavan has collaborated with Team SSM Delhi-NCR to serve daily evening meals to the less privileged at Mathura and Vrindavan. The annadaanam seva began in a humble manner, supporting a small group of 35 or 40 people on a daily basis. Presently, the number has tripled and on some evenings, 150 to 160 people participate in this community meal. Till date approximately 30000 meals have been served to the hungry denizens of Mathura and Vrindavan. Special meals are offered during festive occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, and ceremonies for the departed. SSM Delhi-NCR and Mathura Serve 3,000 Meals to the Hungry at Brij Bhoomi, Mathura

W hen the deadly second wave of COVID enforced another lockdown in May 2021, a member of the Satsang Seva Mission at Mathura and his family began preparing simple meals of roti , dal , vegetables, and rice, venturing out at night to serve 20 to 30 homeless people, unemployed daily wagers, some sadhus, and yet others struggling with various forms of addiction near his home.     As the number of people to be served grew, his extended family and friends pitched in to support his work to cater to the ever-increasing need for meals in the vicinity.    Come November 2021 and the Annadanam and Seva week to celebrate Sri M's birthday on the 6th of the month, Team SSM Delhi-NCR decided to pitch in as well to cover the cost of serving 100 meals a day for 10 days every month for a whole year. Tiny Tots of Kumaria Village Gift SSM Mathura Bonanza of Love and Affection in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh

The members of Team SSM Mathura were delighted by the bonanza of love and affection they received at  the primary school of Kumaria village in Mathura where they had gone laden with gift hampers and with Sri M's message of the oneness of humanity to mark Deepavali and Sri M's birthday, celebrated as Founder's Day on November 6th at The Satsang Foundation .    "What a beautiful time we had today," the team remarked as they took in the exquisite clay idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha, flower rangolis , and colourful diyas   handmade by the children to welcome them. Blind Sadhus Celebrate Govardhan Puja and Annakut With Team SSM Mathura in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh

In continuing observance of Annadanam and Seva week in honour of Deepavali and Sri M's birthday celebrations, Team SSM Mathura served 17 blind sadhus of Vrindavan with special prasad on the auspicious day of Annakut and Govardhan Puja on Friday the 5th of November.      The Surdas Sadhus sang bhajans in mellifluous voices before being served a hot meal of kadhi , mixed vegetable, potato curry, rice, puris , and a delicious sweet on leaf plates. Not a morsel was wasted by the gracious sadhus as they accepted the offering as prasad and thanked Sri M for his continuing work in Vrindavan.     Every year for the past five years, on January 1 the Sadhus get together at the home of a satsangi to recite the Sundarkand Path of the Ramayana and gladden the hearts of the team with their impeccable voices.
