In celebration of Sri M's birthday on 6 November and the spirit of Deepavali, Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Mumbai came together to spread joy and compassion across the city. Through a series of heartfelt sevas , they brought smiles to the faces of the needy.  Saint Gadge Maharaj Trust, Dadar On 2 November 2024, SSM volunteers visited the Saint Gadge Maharaj Trust, which provides affordable lodging for cancer patients and their families staying in Mumbai for treatment. Satsang Seva Mission volunteers organized a heartwarming celebration for less privileged children at Hiranandani Park, Thane West. The event, held in honor of Sri M's birthday on 6 November and the festival of Deepavali , brought joy, learning, and inspiration to over 325 children aged between 7-16 years. Recognition of Academic Excellence: Four bright students, who scored over 80% and qualified for competitive exams, were recognized and supported with partial scholarships for engineering studies. Spiritual Enrichment: A student, sponsored to study the Bhagavatam course in Vrindavan for 3 years, captivated the audience with a beautiful Shloka Paath . Cultural Revival: Sanskrit was introduced to the children, who enthusiastically performed short conversation skits. Devotional Experience: The children chanted Nirvana Shatakam , connecting with the divine. Team SSM Mumbai ushered in the joyous occasion of Christmas with a medley of sevas filled with great joy and enthusiasm. On Sunday, 25th December 2022, a few team members offered a freshly prepared lunch of vegetable pulao, gulab jamun, and pickle packed in 100 meal trays to the community of slum dwellers living near the Sai Baba Temple, Chembur .  Soon after lunch, 100 blankets were offered to the senior citizens and the most needy families of the community. A few other team members organized a fun-filled Sports Day for 155 children of the migrant workers and slum dwellers living in the Labour Camp, near the Hiranandani Estate in Thane .  Watch the video here. The Maratha Life Foundation is a 14-year-old rehabilitation center that provides shelter, food, medical care, and engaging activities to orphans, aged persons, the physically and mentally challenged to ensure their well-being in the face of daunting circumstances. On the auspicious occasion of Sri M's birthday, the members of Team SSM Mumbai visited this safe home at Vasai. They participated in elaborate discussions with the founders to understand how best they could support their plans for the provision of better facilities to the inmates .  They then served a delectable, special lunch including a variety of Deepavali snacks and sweets.  The day drew to a close with a fun-filled session of dance with the inmates that simply brought huge smiles and great joy to everyone.
