Seva Utsav 2024: Nourishing meals, school supplies offered at Navi Mumbai

In honor of Sri M's birthday, Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers organized heartfelt outreach activities offering support to marginalized groups at Vashi and Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai. On 9 November 2024, the SSM volunteers gathered at Vashi Sector 7 for a special annadaanam seva . Beginning with the Guru Stuti , the volunteers served a filling meal to daily wagers and their families from a less privileged housing colony nearby, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy. The volunteers set off the following day on 10 November to Jan Vikas Society Bal Ashram, a shelter home for young boys hailing from marginalized communities. Seva Utsav: Sri M’s Birthday celebrated with annadanam seva across Pune

On 9 November 2024, volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) commemorated Sri M's 75th birthday with a series of annadaanam sevas across the city of Pune, embodying Sri M's values of service and compassion . A special, hearty lunch was lovingly served to 55 differently-abled children and 5 staff at ANIKET Sevabhavi Sanstha. This shelter home was also provided with a month's supply of groceries. At Akurdi Railway Station in Pimpri-Chinchwad, 40 daily wage workers enjoyed a simple meal of khichadi and a sweet, leaving them energized. Later that evening, the volunteers served a nourishing meal to 25 caregivers of patients at Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Hospital, helping them find some comfort at the end of a tiring day of constant vigil over their ailing loved ones.   To volunteer for the Satsang Seva Mission and experience the joy of giving and sharing, please write to us at connect@satsang-foundation.org .

Seva Utsav 2024: Heartfelt tributes to Sri M from Aviral Godavari Mission partner organizations

Heartfelt tributes poured in on Sri M's 75th birth anniversary on 6 November 2024 from partner organizations working in unison with The Satsang Foundation (TSF) through Satsang Jal Seva Sangatan (SJSS) and Aviral Godavari Mission, a massive undertaking to revive River Godavari, the second largest river in India, and to green its origin on Brahmagiri mountain.  Volunteers from Namami Goda Foundation and several other organizations under the Jalbiradari banner offered special prayers and annadaanam seva across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Maharashtra Kopargaon The founder of Godamai Pratishthan offered light refreshments and sweets to women of less privileged families. Seva Utsav 2024: Bringing comfort and care to the community at Chandigarh

In honor of Sri M's 75th birthday, Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Chandigarh organized two heartwarming events that brought comfort and care to the community. On 4 November 2024, volunteers hosted a nourishing langar seva at the PGI Hospital, serving over 700 patients and their families from a mobile unit. The traditional, wholesome meal brought a sense of relief and warmth to those enduring long vigils at the hospital, providing not just food, but hope and compassion. The spirit of selfless service found expression on 8 November when the volunteers offered a light meal and essential medicines to the residents of Senior Citizen Home, Sector 15. The visit culminated in a serene pranayama and meditation session, helping the residents find peace and relaxation while nurturing their well-being, uplifting spirits, and fostering unity. Seva Utsav 2024: Serving warmth and nourishment: Tea and meals offered at Mathura-Vrindavan

Madhu Ki Rasoi , the community kitchen of The Satsang Foundation at Vrindavan, celebrated Sri M's 75th birthday with the distribution of 90 cups of kulhad tea to patients and their caregivers awaiting treatment in the cold outside Prem Mandir Charitable Hospital.  Later that evening, the daily meal of puris and a vegetable curry was offered with sweets to 300 recipients - sadhus, pilgrims, and daily wagers outside Mathura Railway Station. Seva Utsav 2024: Spreading the warmth of kindness at Delhi

The Satsang Foundation at Delhi and the Ramakrishna Ashram have long been associated with offering seva in unison. On 4 November 2024, volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) handed over dry rations including condiments, ghee, jaggery and a variety of vegetables for the preparation of the special khichadi to be offered on 6 November in celebration of Sri M's 75th birthday. During the a nnadaanam seva on 6 November, 650 recipients - rickshaw pullers, pavement dwellers, and daily wagers residing in the vicinity of the Ashram received this special prasad .  Extending the seva to the Lok Nayak Hospital in Delhi where caregivers of patients, daily wagers, and rickshaw pullers gathered, hoping for a respite from the winter cold, volunteers offered a freshly-prepared, piping hot meal of kadhi-chawal . 1200 recipients partook of this meal with gratitude and joy, reaching out for more of the filling meal and basking in the warmth of kindness.  To join our teams of SSM volunteers...

Seva Utsav 2024: A birthday of compassion - Founder’s Day celebrated across Tamil Nadu

In celebration of Sri M's 75th birthday on 6 November 2024, the Satsang Seva Mission volunteers in Tamil Nadu rolled up their sleeves and got to work. From feeding the hungry to caring for the elderly, their selfless acts touched countless lives.  Trichy A special annadaanam seva was conducted by a dedicated volunteer from The Satsang Foundation, a member of the royal family of Pudukottai, serving 60 individuals near the Collector's office, offering a warm meal to those in need. Chennai Located in Pallikaranai, the Love Care Centre, part of the Parthasarathy Memorial Trust, shelters 70 differently-abled children. On the occasion of Founder's Day, 34 children were served a hearty lunch. Udhavum Ullangal, a home for elderly destitute women, has received sustained support from The Satsang Foundation by way of dry rations and annadaanam seva on special occasions. Seva Utsav 2024: The Chanda Satsang Vidyalaya honours Sri M’s 75th birthday at Lathira

The Chanda Satsang Vidyalaya Lathira (CSVL) celebrated Sri M's 75th birthday with heartfelt devotion, bringing the spirit of seva to life. A special meal was prepared for the 350-400 senior residents of the nearby Vridh Ashram. In Lathira Garh Mukteshwar, students, staff, and members of The Satsang Foundation (TSF) at Delhi came together for a vibrant ceremony. Children chanted sacred verses and  members lit a diya , offering pranams and prasad at the altar of the Master. Students shared skits about Sri M's inspiring journey, including a moving reenactment of his Walk of Hope, sparking fond memories among many volunteers. A grand bhandara feast followed, welcoming students, their families, local villagers, and the ashram residents. Winter-wear, including sweaters, socks, and caps, was lovingly distributed to the children. Volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission at Cuttack, Odisha commemorated Sri M's 75th birthday on 6 November with a special annadaanam seva at for 35 youngsters who receive food, clothing, and shelter at Anathashram.  A team of doctors also organized a free medical camp at Theosophy House offering care for patients with diabetes, and orthopedic and chest ailments. Seva Utsav 2024: Elders at old age homes at Coimbatore partake of special annadaanam seva

Sri M's 75th birthday was celebrated with a special annadaanam seva for the elderly sheltered at two old age homes at Coimbatore. Associated with Eera Nenjam Old Age Home, RS Puram since the past four years, the Satsang Seva Mission team has provided cooked meals and medicines to support the residents. On 6 November, 85 seniors were offered a hearty breakfast.  A festive breakfast was also offered to 35 aged women staying at Helping Hearts Old Age Home for Women, Poosaripalayam. Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Nagpur celebrated Sri M's 75th birthday with annadaanam seva near the Cancer Institute at the Super Specialty Hospital in Hanuman Nagar, bringing to fruition his vision of serving the less privileged with innate joy.  A nutritious meal was served to 600 individuals from the local community between 11.00 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. The blessings of generosity formed the crux of the occasion assuring hope and compassion for the deprived. 104 weeks of sustained annadaanam seva offered to marginalized communities at Lakshmipura, Bengaluru

Launched on Founder's Day, 6 November 2022, the weekly annadaanam seva offered to the community of daily wagers, pavement dwellers, and less privileged at Lakshmipura in Gavipuram, South Bengaluru is set to complete 104 weeks. Every Sunday afternoon, a freshly-prepared, nourishing lunch of rice, lentils, vegetable curries, a sweet, and curd is served to them on the premises of Adamya Chetana, an NGO that supports the nutritional needs of the less privileged.  Prayers of gratitude precede the meal uniting volunteers and recipients in the spirit of selfless service. 71,500 meal equivalents offered since 7 years at Vallabh Niketan Ashram, Bengaluru

Associated with the Vallabh Niketan Ashram since 2017, volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) at Bengaluru have supported the basic nutritional requirements of the inmates with more than 71, 500 meal equivalents through a monthly supply of staples such as rice, wheat, cooking oil, lentils, and semolina. Daily milk supply to the 45 young boys and 20 senior citizens residing at this shelter home has also contributed significantly to their health and well-being. The volunteers have also continued to offer a special Sunday breakfast, fostering a sense of community in the residents as they take the time to unwind and spend moments of camaraderie with each other after a busy weekly schedule. Academic support before crucial year-end exams and weekly sessions in Spoken English and yoga abhyasa for the youngsters complete the holistic paradigm, helping them blossom into confident, empowered citizens. Such a person I consider to be very close to me."           - Sri M Janmashtami festivities have commenced at the Madhu Ki Rasoi , the community kitchen of The Satsang Foundation, in the twin cities of Mathura-Vrindavan serving fruits, beverages, desserts, and a nourishing meal through the day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. to devotees and the less privileged alike. Hungry and faced with a hard day's work, 275 daily wagers queued up in the heavy rain to partake of nutritious, filling meals offered by Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at the Sai Baba Temple in Matunga East Station Road, Mumbai. Despite a power outage and incessant showers, the volunteers ensured that the food was prepared on time and offered with reverence to the recipients as they set about to face a gruelling day ahead.
