Seva Utsav 2024: Wellness of young women at the forefront of holistic growth

A menstrual hygiene awareness camp was organized by Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers on 16 November 2024 to mark Sri M's 75th birthday at Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya, Abhyankar Nagar, Nagpur. Led by Dr. Yamini Kale, OBGYN, this camp helped empower young girls with the confidence to address menstruation without inhibitions and make informed choices to promote their health. Dr. Kale emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise. Introducing sustainable and safe menstrual practices, she focussed on hygiene and encouraged the use of menstrual cups - cost-effective, environmentally friendly, safe alternatives to sanitary napkins. She also highlighted the connection between mental health and hormones and responded to numerous queries and concerns in an engaging Q&A session with the young girls. Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Nagpur celebrated Sri M's 75th birthday with annadaanam seva near the Cancer Institute at the Super Specialty Hospital in Hanuman Nagar, bringing to fruition his vision of serving the less privileged with innate joy.  A nutritious meal was served to 600 individuals from the local community between 11.00 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. The blessings of generosity formed the crux of the occasion assuring hope and compassion for the deprived. Bridging the dearth of healthcare services with a first ever free health camp, Nagpur

The Lonkhairi village of Nagpur was in for a pleasant surprise on August 10, 2024. The Satsang Foundation at Nagpur organized a free health check-up camp for the less privileged village folk, an auspicious initiative that garnered an extraordinary response.  The health camp saw a turnout of 220 adults and 90 children less than 10 years of age were treated to essential medical services. Distinguished medical practitioners of the Shalinitai Meghe Hospital (Nagpur) were on their feet conducting various tests like blood pressure, complete blood count, and sugar levels. The tests, consultations, and medicines administered were on-the-house for all the village attendees.  Almost 62 patients, in need of specific tests and specialized treatment like cataract surgeries, heart ailments were further referred to the Shalinitai Meghe Hospital for free treatment. Hospital on wheels for a healthy living

A breakthrough event on July 14, 2024 in Nagpur was marked with a generous 'gift deed' in the form of a mobile and hospital unit endowed by the honourable Group Chairman, Shri Narendra Hete to Sri M and The Satsang Foundation. This momentous occasion was underpinned with a MOU between Sri M, the President of The Satsang Foundation and Ms. Shalinitai Meghe, the Chancellor of Meghe College and emphasized the delivery of advanced healthcare in rural environments. Shri Narendra Hete, the Chairman of the Valuable Group handed the reins of the state-of-the-art mobile hospital organizing medical camps in the rural territories in and around Vidarbha and Nagpur. This 'hospital-on-wheels' is well equipped with all requisite medical and technical equipment making it a miniature functional hospital with a scale of solutions. Satsang Seva Mission volunteers conduct yoga sessions for seniors and children at Nagpur

Over 100 members from marginalized groups of society joined The Satsang Foundation's unique International Day of Yoga celebration on 21 June 2024 at Nagpur. Eager children sheltered at Shraddhanand Anathalaya (Abhyankar Nagar) and senior citizens residing in Soham Old Age Home (Sita Burdi) enjoyed personalized yoga sessions led by an adept facilitator. The Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers provided ample support, under the guidance of Bharat Yogavidya Kendra (BYK). The sessions provided a chance for relaxation, rejuvenation, and learning the benefits of yoga for their well-being in the long term. Participants appreciated the yoga mats provided during the practice, the ladoos and refreshments offered post-session, all courtesy of a thoughtful volunteer. The personalized approach made the day for some, with children feeling looked after and seniors feeling valued. Compassion in action: Satsang Seva Mission uplifts spirits in Nagpur

The  Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Nagpur continued their monthly seva , touching the lives of less privileged children and those with visual impairments. Equipping for success On 5th March 2024, Team SSM visited Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya, a school for less privileged children to offer stationery kits to all 120 students. These kits, containing notebooks, pens, and other essentials, arrived just in time for their second term exams. The enthusiasm in the children's eyes was a testament to the impact of this seemingly small gesture. Gifts of comfort and joy On 16th March, the SSM volunteers visited The Blind School in Laxmi Nagar and offered 90 bed sheets to help enhance the living environment of the visually impaired children residing there. Team SSM Nagpur’s outreach program touches lives of less privileged children at two shelter homes in city

Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Nagpur continued their outreach program to support the basic needs of less privileged children at two shelter homes in the city. They offered shirts to 50 children at Matoshree Mainabai High School, Joshiwadi on 24 February and a month's supply of groceries at the Shree Anath Seva Ashram, Ashok Nagar on 25th February 2024. This 50-year-old orphanage for children aged between 11 and 18 years provides shelter, care, and free education till graduation.  Your contribution and support can make a difference and help our SSM volunteers to encompass other marginalized groups in your city. Warm blankets offered to visually challenged youth at Apang Mahila Bal Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur

As the bitter winter cold continued to afflict the citizens of Nagpur, the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) team in Nagpur reached out to provide protection to 120 visually challenged youth in collaboration with the Apang Mahila Bal Vikas Sanstha on 13th January 2024. Basic computer training, courses in art, singing, and various vocational skills are conducted for the visually challenged at this NGO which supports the differently abled, women in distress, and the holistic growth of children. Snacks and enthusiastic conversations with the recipients marked the conclusion of this special seasonal seva . Team SSM Nagpur has been associated with Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya, a school for less privileged children since the past four months, offering monthly annadaanam seva to the children. With the onset of the bitter winter cold, the volunteers offered blankets to 120 children sheltered at this institution on 23 December 2023. Team SSM Nagpur offers monthly annadaanam seva, school bags to less privileged children

During the last two weeks of October, Team SSM Nagpur offered the monthly annadaanam seva to 120 children studying at Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya, a school for the less privileged. The volunteers lovingly served a simple, nutritious meal of chapattis, dal, sabzi, rice and a sweet much to the delight of the children. The team members also continued their collaboration with Youth For Seva , an NGO that supports the education of children of pavement dwellers in 10 different locations in Nagpur by offering school bags to 50 children at the Swami Nagar Centre. Teams SSM Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Youth for Seva continue their joint efforts at Nagpur

Teams SSM Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Youth for Seva continued their joint efforts at offering shirts to children of pavement dwellers supported at the 10 study centres of Youth for Seva , Nagpur. During the second round of seva, on 20th August 2023, the 20 children at the Mokhare centre were overjoyed to receive their new shirts. This ongoing seva was offered subsequently at other centres. During the third round of seva, on 27th August 2023, 25 children at Shyambagh Centre were elated to receive their new shirts even as the volunteers expressed their gratitude for having supported these bright youngsters. During the fourth round of seva, on 3rd September 2023, the 15 children at Ittabhatti Centre brimmed with joy as they received their new shirts. During the fifth round of seva, on 10th September 2023, the 50 children at Ganga Nagar Centre, were filled with joy to receive their new shirts. Teams SSM Nagpur, Ahmedabad collaborate with Youth for Seva to offer shirts to children of pavement dwellers

Teams SSM Nagpur and Ahmedabad joined hands with Youth for Seva to offer shirts to 20 children of pavement dwellers at Nagpur on 12th August 2023. Youth for Seva is an organization which helps children living in slums by providing them basic education across 10 centres in Nagpur.  A volunteer from Team SSM Ahmedabad provided about 300 Indigo Plus branded shirts to be offered to the children supported at these 10 centres. While the children were ecstatic after having received their new attire, the Youth for Seva volunteers were also happy to receive copies of Sri M's autobiography - Apprenticed to an Himalayan Master : A Yogi's Autobiography .
