Seva Utsav 2024: Bringing comfort and care to the community at Chandigarh

In honor of Sri M's 75th birthday, Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Chandigarh organized two heartwarming events that brought comfort and care to the community. On 4 November 2024, volunteers hosted a nourishing langar seva at the PGI Hospital, serving over 700 patients and their families from a mobile unit. The traditional, wholesome meal brought a sense of relief and warmth to those enduring long vigils at the hospital, providing not just food, but hope and compassion. The spirit of selfless service found expression on 8 November when the volunteers offered a light meal and essential medicines to the residents of Senior Citizen Home, Sector 15. The visit culminated in a serene pranayama and meditation session, helping the residents find peace and relaxation while nurturing their well-being, uplifting spirits, and fostering unity. Seva Utsav 2024: Sri M’s birthday celebrations – an ode to the less privileged at shelter homes in Bengaluru

The 6 th of November marks the birthday of spiritual Master, Sri M and as always it ushered in a day of caring and compassion. The Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers in Bengaluru offered snack boxes to the  40 youngsters and the 20 senior citizens at Vallabh Niketan Ashram and the  40 less privileged children at Namma Mane.  Sourced from The Spastic Society of Karnataka, each snack box comprised a vegetarian puff, tetrapacks of mango juice, and a pastry. The faces of the little ones gleamed with joy as they received their individual box while gratitude was writ largely on the faces of the senior members. A spirit of cheer pervaded the ambience with the volunteers sharing the joy of the recipients. Seva Utsav 2024: Joyous celebrations mark Sri M’s 75th birthday across the city of Mumbai

In celebration of Sri M's birthday on 6 November and the spirit of Deepavali, Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Mumbai came together to spread joy and compassion across the city. Through a series of heartfelt sevas , they brought smiles to the faces of the needy.  Saint Gadge Maharaj Trust, Dadar On 2 November 2024, SSM volunteers visited the Saint Gadge Maharaj Trust, which provides affordable lodging for cancer patients and their families staying in Mumbai for treatment. They distributed 200 packets of Deepavali faral (traditional snacks), bringing a festive cheer to those going through difficult times.  Srirang Anand Ashram, Thane On 3 November, the volunteers offered bedsheets and snacks to the elderly residents of Srirang Anand Ashram Old Age Home in Thane. Satsang Seva Mission volunteers organized a heartwarming celebration for less privileged children at Hiranandani Park, Thane West. The event, held in honor of Sri M's birthday on 6 November and the festival of Deepavali , brought joy, learning, and inspiration to over 325 children aged between 7-16 years. Recognition of Academic Excellence: Four bright students, who scored over 80% and qualified for competitive exams, were recognized and supported with partial scholarships for engineering studies. Spiritual Enrichment: A student, sponsored to study the Bhagavatam course in Vrindavan for 3 years, captivated the audience with a beautiful Shloka Paath . Cultural Revival: Sanskrit was introduced to the children, who enthusiastically performed short conversation skits. Devotional Experience: The children chanted Nirvana Shatakam , connecting with the divine. Sparkling white boards, stationery, and snacks greet children at SAFEE Foundation, Hyderabad

Collaborating with the Surepally Access Foundation for Education and Environment (SAFEE) Foundation, the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers helped equip six learning centres for 150 children living in a less-privileged neighborhood in Saidabad, Hyderabad.  SAFEE Foundation provides safe spaces free of violence, crime, and discrimination for these vulnerable young children, empowering them with after-school support classes and creative activities in small clusters located in the dusty, narrow bylanes of their colony. Shiny new white boards with stands, stationery, and mats were offered, much to the delight of the bright youngsters. Sweet surprises are always welcome! Dance moves, yoga asanas, karate kicks & book smarts - our latest seva had it all

Joyous smiles and infectious enthusiasm radiated from the children hailing from the Labour Camp, Hiranandani Estate, as they were treated to a morning of wholesome activities by the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers on Sunday, 16 June 2024 near the Ganesh Temple, Thane. Aged between 7-16 years, these bright youngsters participated in yoga, dance, and karate sessions and enjoyed delicious samosas .  The SSM volunteers also visited Bal Sneh Niketan, a centre for juvenile boys in Thane. Books of different genres were offered to 31 students of Grades 5-10, helping to support their academic pursuits, stimulate their intellect, and stir a passion for reading. SSM Mumbai Kendra volunteers offer myriad sevas across the city in January 2024

Volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) Mumbai Kendra welcomed Year 2024 with different sevas at different centres across Mumbai. Tambe School, Dahisar East Sensitization sessions on holistic well-being are being held at the Tambe School for children of Grades 3 and 4 to help them develop self-awareness and confidence. On 6th January, fitness took centre stage as they learned how to do squats, push-ups, and planks.  On 22nd January, a session on music  and movement represented by the acronym B.E.S.T - Body, Energy, Space, and Time filled the children with great joy as they demonstrated their dancing skills and sang bhajans enthusiastically. Hiranandani Estate Garden, Thane Bi-weekly yoga sessions were launched at the Hiranandani Estate Garden for the children residing in the nearby labor camp. Gifts of Warmth Ring in the New Year for Senior Citizens and Construction Workers in Mumbai

The person whom you are serving is actually giving you an opportunity to evolve.   --- Sri M Sri M's message of selfless service was exemplified by Team SSM Mumbai as the team members welcomed the dawn of a new year by offering bedsheets and blankets at two different locations in Mumbai. A team member visited the 25 senior citizens residing at Happy Flock Old Age Home in Karjat, situated about 60 kilometers from Mumbai on 31st December 2022 and offered bedsheets, pillow covers, and a little bag of goodies to them. Sweet smiles of gratitude and informal conversations marked this seva on the eve of the New Year. On the 3rd of January, 2023 a group of team members offered blankets to 125 construction workers at a construction site in Navi Mumbai .
