In honor of Sri M's birthday, Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers organized heartfelt outreach activities offering support to marginalized groups at Vashi and Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai. On 9 November 2024, the SSM volunteers gathered at Vashi Sector 7 for a special annadaanam seva . Beginning with the Guru Stuti , the volunteers served a filling meal to daily wagers and their families from a less privileged housing colony nearby, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy. The volunteers set off the following day on 10 November to Jan Vikas Society Bal Ashram, a shelter home for young boys hailing from marginalized communities. Collaborating with the Surepally Access Foundation for Education and Environment (SAFEE) Foundation, the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers helped equip six learning centres for 150 children living in a less-privileged neighborhood in Saidabad, Hyderabad.  SAFEE Foundation provides safe spaces free of violence, crime, and discrimination for these vulnerable young children, empowering them with after-school support classes and creative activities in small clusters located in the dusty, narrow bylanes of their colony. Shiny new white boards with stands, stationery, and mats were offered, much to the delight of the bright youngsters. Sweet surprises are always welcome! With the start of the new scholastic year in June, volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) at Ernakulam, Kerala offered school essentials to 18 children sheltered at the Pragathi Balabhavan orphanage, Kothamangalam Thrikkariyoor, providing crucial educational support and promoting the value of education in the local, marginalized communities. The children were simply thrilled to receive their new school bags filled with notebooks, stationery, and essential toiletries. Expressing their gratitude to the SSM team, the children geared up for a year of wonderful learning opportunities. A quiet, shared lunch at the orphanage ended a day spent well in the company of these bright youngsters. The  Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Nagpur continued their monthly seva , touching the lives of less privileged children and those with visual impairments. Equipping for success On 5th March 2024, Team SSM visited Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya, a school for less privileged children to offer stationery kits to all 120 students. These kits, containing notebooks, pens, and other essentials, arrived just in time for their second term exams. The enthusiasm in the children's eyes was a testament to the impact of this seemingly small gesture. Gifts of comfort and joy On 16th March, the SSM volunteers visited The Blind School in Laxmi Nagar and offered 90 bed sheets to help enhance the living environment of the visually impaired children residing there. During the last two weeks of October, Team SSM Nagpur offered the monthly annadaanam seva to 120 children studying at Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya, a school for the less privileged. The volunteers lovingly served a simple, nutritious meal of chapattis, dal, sabzi, rice and a sweet much to the delight of the children. The team members also continued their collaboration with Youth For Seva , an NGO that supports the education of children of pavement dwellers in 10 different locations in Nagpur by offering school bags to 50 children at the Swami Nagar Centre. Teams SSM Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Youth for Seva continued their joint efforts at offering shirts to children of pavement dwellers supported at the 10 study centres of Youth for Seva , Nagpur. During the second round of seva, on 20th August 2023, the 20 children at the Mokhare centre were overjoyed to receive their new shirts. This ongoing seva was offered subsequently at other centres. During the third round of seva, on 27th August 2023, 25 children at Shyambagh Centre were elated to receive their new shirts even as the volunteers expressed their gratitude for having supported these bright youngsters. During the fourth round of seva, on 3rd September 2023, the 15 children at Ittabhatti Centre brimmed with joy as they received their new shirts. During the fifth round of seva, on 10th September 2023, the 50 children at Ganga Nagar Centre, were filled with joy to receive their new shirts. The Desire Society, established in 2004, has been promoting the well-being and health development of children affected by HIV/AIDS in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Vizag, and Noida. The children who are usually abandoned by one or both parents most of whom are sex workers or truck drivers face multiple challenges of disadvantaged socio-economic conditions; abuse; and a precarious health situation. In November 2021, Team SSM Mumbai had distributed educational material to the children at the Vashi center in Mumbai to celebrate Deepavali with them. This year too, on 17th September 2022, the team members collaborated with Unicare Emergency Equipment Pvt. Ltd. to provide school bags, T-shirts, and pants to the little ones who were overjoyed to receive these essential items.
