53,000 meals and more, Madhu Ki Rasoi continues to support the less privileged in Mathura-Vrindavan since Sept. 2023

Inaugurated on 3rd September 2023 in Vrindavan by Sri M, Madhu Ki Rasoi , an initiative of The Satsang Foundation under the auspices of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM), is a community kitchen which provides daily, nourishing meals to the hungry and less privileged in the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan.  Every evening the Madhu Ki Rasoi vehicle makes its way to the Mathura Railway Station where itinerant sadhus , daily wagers, pavement dwellers, and weary travellers partake of a simple yet filling meal of puris and a vegetable curry. Having started with 200 meals per day, the meal count goes up to 220 meals to ensure that no one goes hungry.  During the special bhandara or community annadaanam seva held on the joyous occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami , 7th September 2023, a total of 12000 meals were offered during 15 hours of continuous seva . 53, 000 meals have been served till the end of April. Weekly annadaanam seva unites recipients and volunteers in spirit of selfless service

Sunday 28 April 2024 witnessed yet another occasion to celebrate the joy of giving and sharing through the weekly annadaanam seva under the aegis of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) at Bengaluru. The 30 senior citizens and youngsters at Vallabh Niketan Ashram partook of a special breakfast in the tranquil premises of the Ashram. Seven years of nutritional support, academic sessions, Spoken English classes, and yoga sessions have cemented the bond of camaraderie amongst the residents and the volunteers. The SSM volunteers also served a nourishing lunch to 60 daily wagers and pavement dwellers at  Lakshmipura, Gavipuram at the premises of Adamya Chetana, an NGO that supports the nutritional requirements of the less privileged. The annadaanam seva began with a prayer of gratitude to Mother Annapurna for Her abundance and blessings. Team SSM at Hyderabad ushers in Telugu New Year with festive meal at children’s shelter home

Volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) at Hyderabad ushered in Ugadi ,  the Telugu New Year, with a festive meal for 75 young residents of Aashray Balatejassu Rainbow Home in Regimental Bazaar, Secunderabad. Festive cheer and colourful clothes marked this festival as the children and young girls partook of the traditional Ugadi pachadi - a tangy, bitter-sweet concoction made of raw mango, neem flowers and leaves, tamarind syrup, and jaggery, symbolising the varied flavours of life.  The SSM volunteers ensured that a freshly-prepared meal comprising vegetable pulao, raita, kofta curry, and sweet laddus was packed in containers and placed in their vans as the youngsters waved cheerfully and set off for a picnic that had already been planned for them.  Wishes for a prosperous and happy New Year greeted both the youngsters and the volunteers alike.  To participate in such festive sevas of the Satsang Seva Mission and experience the joy of giving and sharing, ple...

The volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission, Bengaluru continue to offer the weekly annadaanam seva with unwavering dedication, spreading warmth and nourishment to those in need. Sunday special meals Vallabh Niketan Ashram: Every Sunday, a delicious South Indian breakfast brightens the mornings of senior citizens and young boys residing at the Ashram. To further empower the youngsters, the volunteers conduct weekly yoga and Spoken English classes, fostering physical and holistic growth. Lakshmipuram: In the afternoons, a hearty meal is served to the pavement dwellers, daily wagers, and the less privileged living in this neighborhood situated in Gavipuram, South Bengaluru, offering them a much-needed respite.
