Team SSM Nagpur’s outreach program touches lives of less privileged children at two shelter homes in city

Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) volunteers at Nagpur continued their outreach program to support the basic needs of less privileged children at two shelter homes in the city. They offered shirts to 50 children at Matoshree Mainabai High School, Joshiwadi on 24 February and a month's supply of groceries at the Shree Anath Seva Ashram, Ashok Nagar on 25th February 2024. This 50-year-old orphanage for children aged between 11 and 18 years provides shelter, care, and free education till graduation.  Your contribution and support can make a difference and help our SSM volunteers to encompass other marginalized groups in your city. Yoga program at Mithanagar Municipal School fosters flexibility, strength, and inner peace

As a part of an ongoing program, launched in June 2023, trained volunteers from the Bharat Yoga Vidya Kendra (BYVK) of The Satsang Foundation (TSF) guide students through a comprehensive weekly practice at Mithanagar Municipal School, Goregaon. The session on 24th February 2024 started with Sukshma Vyayama (warm-up exercises) to prepare the body, followed by asanas like Tadasana, Vrikshasana , Utkatasana , and Saral Natarajasana, and pranayama . The session concluded with the relaxation technique of Shavasana accompanied by silent meditation and the calming sounds of Hindustani classical flute music. The program also delves into yoga theory, revisiting the meaning and definitions as laid down in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Building futures through business and language: volunteers spark imagination at Vallabh Niketan Ashram

On February 17th 2024, twelve students at Vallabh Niketan Ashram embarked on a unique journey.Guided by volunteers from SSM Bengaluru, students brainstormed career aspirations and chose "businessman" as a starting point.Key business functions were explored: starting the company, hiring employees, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. Through this immersive experience, learners honed their English speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills amidst crucial business decisions. From market research to sales pitches, they grappled with ethical dilemmas, negotiated pricing, and strategized for success – all the while strengthening their grasp of the language. From music to mindfulness: SSM session explores interests, introduces Dinacharya for school students at Dahisar

Volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM), Mumbai Kendra engaged children of Grades 1 and 2 at the Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Vidyalaya, Dahisar on 17th February 2024 through an interactive session, beginning with energizing movements and music. Activities on self-discovery during which the children shared their cherished thoughts on colorful Post-it notes followed.  The volunteers also explored their potential for future learning in various activities like art, music, dance, and craft. The concept of 'dinacharya' (daily routine) was introduced, emphasizing morning pranams and bedtime prayers. The session concluded with an exciting invitation to witness a recitation about Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by children of Grades 3 and 4 on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti , the 19th of February. From stressed to serene: empowering young minds Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Vidyalaya, Mira Road

Volunteers of the Satsang Seva Mission (SSM) Mumbai Kendra conducted a heartwarming session for 18 bright-eyed Grade 10 students at Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Vidyalaya in Pankar Pada, Mira Road, Thane. With the board exams looming towards the end of the month, the air crackled with a mix of anticipation and anxiety. This session aimed to be more than just exam prep. Recognizing the emotional toll exams can take, the volunteers focused on empowering students to manage their stress and anxiety. Through proven techniques, students explored the fascinating mind-body connection, learning how the ideal posture can promote better focus and performance. Breathing practices were introduced, equipping students with tools to calm their nerves and enhance concentration. The session culminated in a peaceful two-minute meditation, a practice new to many. In a bid to infuse wellness into the work culture, OFDR invited Sri M to deliver a talk on "Yoga for Professional Excellence." Amidst the backdrop of manufacturing essential pyrotechnic products, Sri M's session aimed to alleviate stress and foster well-being among the employees. Sri M's delved into the profound teachings of yoga, tailored to address the challenges faced by employees in their demanding roles. He emphasised the importance of maintaining mental and physical health, especially in high-pressure environments. The audience, comprising both employees and students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pune, were captivated by Sri M insights on incorporating yoga and meditation into daily routines.
