SSM Mathura Brings Smiles to Special Children with Gift Hampers for Annadanam and Seva Week in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh

Team SSM Mathura distributed 50 gift hampers comprising of smiley balls, juice, chocolate, wafers, and bhujia to speech and hearing impaired children at the Kalyanam Karoti special education institute on November 1 to mark the first day of Annadanam and Seva week in celebration of Deepavali and Sri M's birthday. 


 

In sign language, the children also took an oath to ensure peace and communal harmony in the true spirit of the oneness of humanity demonstrated by Sri M during the Walk of Hope that traversed 7,500 kms across the country from Kanya Kumari to Kashmir in 2015-16. A copy of the oath in Hindi was gifted to the institution. 

 


In a moving ceremony, the children then lit diyas made of cow dung that they had painted in school. B. Ed students training to be special educators participated with full enthusiasm, also partaking of some of the hampers. The SSM team in turn was gifted with the diyas made by the children.
